Галатский мост – мост через бухту Золотой Рог. Длина моста 484 м, ширина – 42 м. Это центр делового Стамбула. Мост двухэтажный – на первом этаже торговые центры, рестораны, престижные западные гостиницы, ночные клубы. На втором ярусе моста открыто автомобильное и трамвайное движение.

Египетский рынок – один из самых знаменитых рынков Стамбула. Расположен в районе Эминому, рядом с площадью голубей, позади Новой мечети, был построен во времена султана Мехмеда IV в 1660 г. Рынок получил своё название из-за того, что большая часть товаров шла через Египет, а суда этого государства разгружались как раз рядом с базаром. Есть другая версия, по которой рынок построен на деньги, полученные в виде налогов от Каира (столица Египта). Около входа в рынок ранее располагались магазинчики, которые торговали приправами. Их давно нет, но аромат приправ здесь прочно поселился.

Исторически сложилось, что Египетский рынок специализируется на торговле пряностями и хлопком, так остаётся и поныне. Здесь можно приобрести ароматные сушеные травы, лечебные корешки, пряные приправы, семена цветов. У рынка есть семь ворот: одни основные и шесть вспомогательных. Изнутри базар представляет скопление маленьких магазинчиков, которые лепятся друг к другу по обеим сторонам торговых улиц. Всего в Египетском рынке насчитывается 105 магазинов.

Отведать лучшие блюда покупатели могут в ресторане, история которого насчитывает более 100 лет. Он расположен около главного входа на рынок. Ресторан в свое время посещали знаменитые люди, например основатель Турецкой Республики Мустафа КемальАтатюрк. На стенах ресторана находятся различные исторические документы, по которым можно проследить историю Стамбула.

Хаммам происходит от арабского «хам» — жарко. Внутри турецких бань убранство было всегда роскошным, ибо ещё пророк Мухаммед в своё время говорил, что чистота – это половина веры. Баня не такая жаркая, как обычная (температура 30-55 градусов), из-за чего особенно пользуется популярностью среди женщин. После внесения платы вас проводят в комнату, где можно оставить уличную одежду и обувь и выдадут кусок хлопчатобумажной ткани, которая обворачивается вокруг бёдер.

Затем вас проводят в парилку с большой горячей мраморной платформой. На этой плите нужно полежать около 20 минут, чтобы все мышцы расслабились. После того, как вы хорошо пропотеете, работник бани мылом, специальной рукавицей и горячей водой очистит вашу кожу. За парилкой следует массаж с головы до ног. Ощущения просто волшебные. Посещение хамама – самый лучший способ завершить экскурсию по Стамбулу.
